Wind Cap ( Writing Activities)

CLASS VIII - Wind Cap ( Composition Activities)

1.   Imagine you are out on the open sea in a boat with waves rising all around you. Would you feel scared or excited? Write a paragraph in about eighty words describing your experience of the sea voyage.

I feel both scared and excited as I sail on the open sea. The boat rocks with each wave, rising high and falling low. The sound of the endless water, stretching far into the horizon, splashing against the sides is loud and strong. The sky is wide, and I can see no land around me. My heart beats fast as I look at the vast, blue sea. The sea is both beautiful and powerful, and I wonder what new things I will discover, feeling a little afraid but also eager to explore.

2. Suppose you had wished to perform on stage for a long time. On the occasion of your school's annual function, you finally got a chance to do so. Write a letter to your friend describing how you felt when your wish was fulfilled.

Dear Joy,

I hope you are doing well. I wanted to tell you about something very special that happened recently. For a long time, I dreamed of performing on stage, and at last, during our school's annual function, my dream came true!

When I stood backstage, my heart was racing with excitement and a little fear. But as soon as I stepped onto the stage and saw the audience, I felt proud. The lights were bright, and I could feel everyone’s eyes on me. I did my best, and when the performance ended, the applause made me so happy. It was an unforgettable moment, and I felt like I could do anything!

I hope to perform again soon. I hope you get to experience something like this soon too!

Take good care,
